【摘要】:1Thisstandardappliestothehearingaidsofanytypewithautomaticgaincontrol(AGC)circuits.ThisstandardgivesuniformmethodsforspecifyingdynamicandstaticperformancecharacteristicsofhearingaidswithAGCcircuitstogetherwiththerelevantmethodsofmeasurementforthesecharac-teristics.Thisstandardisconfinedtoadescriptionofthedifferentcharacteristicsandtherelevantmethodsofmeasurement.Itdoesnotattempttospecifyperformancerequirements.2Thisstandardincludesdeviceswhichhavecompressionand/orlimitingpropertieswithrespecttotheenvelopeoftheinputsignal.Deviceswhichcontrolthelong-termaverageoutputlevelarealsoincluded.a)AGCisemployedtoobtaincompression,orthereductionofthedynamicrangeofthesoundattheoutput,withtheobjectofpreservingtheintegrityoftheinputwaveform.b)AGCcircuitsinsteadofclippingdevicesareoftenusedforlimitingpurposes.Alimitingeffectoccurswhentheinput/outputcharacteristicflattensoutathigherinputlevels.Limitingactionismainlyusedasameansofpreventingexcessiveoutputsoundfromthehearingaidfromreachingthelistener'sear.3Thisstandarddoesnotinclude:a)Expanders.b)Clippingdevices,whichcutoffthesignalpeaksaboveacertainlevel;suchdevicesdifferbasicallyfromAGCcircuits,which,inasteadystate,tendtopreservethewaveformoftheinputsignal.Note.-AnAGCcircuitwithveryshortrecoverytimemaycauseconsiderabledistortion,especiallyinthelow-frequencyrange.Thisshouldbegivenspecialattention.
