【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReportspecifiesadescriptionformatforthespecificationofculturalconventions,adescriptionformatforcharactersets,andadescriptionformatforbindingcharacternamestoISO/IEC10646,plusasetofdefaultvaluesforsomeoftheseitems.ThespecificationisupwardcompatiblewithPOSIXlocalespecifications-alocaleconformanttoPOSIXspecificationswillalsobeconformanttothespecificationsinthisTechnicalReport,whilethereverseconditionwillnothold.ThedescriptionsareintendedtobecodedintextfilestobeusedviaApplicationProgrammingInterfaces,thatareexpectedtobedevelopedforanumberofsystemswhichcomplywithISO/IEC9945.AnalignmentefforthasbeenundertakenforthisspecificationtobealignedwiththerevisionoftheISO/IEC9945standardpublishedin2003.
