【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversthemagneticpropertiesof50nickel-50ironpartsfabricatedbypowdermetallurgytechniquesandisintendedforpartsthatrequirehighmagneticpermeability,highelectricalresistivity,lowcoerciveforceandlowhysteresislosses.Itdiffersfromthewroughtalloybecausepartsaregenerallyporous(seeSpecificationA753).Porositycancausesomeofthemagneticpropertiestodifferfromthewroughtgradebecausesomemagneticpropertiesaredirectlyproportionaltothesintereddensity.The50nickel-50ironpartsshallhaveatypicalchemistryasshowninTable1.Magneticpropertiesareaffectedsignificantlybythesinteringprocess.Magneticpropertiesofas-sinteredproductsvarygreatlywithrespecttocarbon,nitrogen,oxygen,andsulphurcontent.Thelevelsoftheseelementsshouldbeagreeduponbetweentheproduceranduser.Partsmadethroughpowdermetallurgytechniques,includingmetalinjectionmoldingaregenerallytoconfigurationofthedesiredpart.Ifsecondaryormachiningoperationsarerequired,whichmaystressthepart,anannealshouldbeprovidedtorestoremagneticpropertiestotheas-sinteredcondition,asdefinedinthisspecification.
