【摘要】:1.1Thisisafire-test-responsestandard.1.2Thistestmethodprovidesameansofdeterminingtheburningbehaviorofmattressesusedinpublicoccupanciesbymeasuringspecificfiretestresponseswhenthetestspecimen,amattressormattresswithfoundation,issubjectedtoaspecifiedflamingignitionsourceunderwellventilatedconditions.1.3Thisisatestmethodformattressesormattresseswithfoundations.1.4Testdataareobtaineddescribingtheburningbehavior,followingapplicationofaspecificignitionsource,fromignitionuntilallburninghasceased,aperiodof1hhaselapsed,orflashoverappearsinevitable.1.5Thistestmethoddoesnotprovideinformationonthefireperformanceofmattressesunderfireconditionsotherthanthosespecifiedinthistestmethod.Inparticular,thistestmethoddoesnotapplytosmolderingignitionbycigarettes.See5.12forfurtherinformation.1.6Therateofheatreleaseofburningtestspecimenismeasuredbyanoxygenconsumptionmethod.See5.12.4forfurtherinformation.1.7Othermeasurementsaretheproductionoflight-obscuringsmokeandtheconcentrationsofcertaintoxicgasspeciesinthecombustiongases.See5.12.5forfurtherinformation.1.8Theburningbehaviorisdocumentedvisuallybyphotographicorvideorecordings.1.9UsetheSIsystemofunitsinrefereedecisions;seeIEEE/ASTMSI-10.Theunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.10Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,productsorassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.11Firetestingofproductsandmaterialsisinherentlyhazardous,andadequatesafeguardsforpersonnelandpropertyshallbeemployedinconductingthesetests.Thistestmethodmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.1.12Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
